In January 2006, Jordan Hospital opened its new state-of-the-art surgery suite, 34-bed inpatient unit and pavilion as part of a major expansion, the largest in its 104-year history.

The hospital maintains eight full-service operating rooms and two minor ambulatory care operating rooms. There are twenty five pre and post anesthesia beds that provide the utmost in patient comfort, care and confidentiality.

Dr. Moss has been on staff at Jordan Hospital for 25 years. Currently he performs procedures at Jordan on the first Thursday of every month. Dr. Moss frequently performs breast augmentation surgery and tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) surgery at Jordan Hospital. He also performs rhinoplasty surgery, liposuction and blepharoplasty surgery there as well. In addition, he has performed many breast reduction surgeries at Jordan Hospital, as well as breast lift (mastopexy) surgery and correction of gynecomastia surgery.

All anesthesiologists on staff at Jordan Hospital are board certified. If any patient desires to speak with an anesthesiologist prior to their surgery at Jordan Hospital, they may do so during their hospital pre-test. Dr. Moss has worked for years with many of the anesthesiologists and finds them all to be very attentive to the needs of his patients. Anesthesia is also the department that specializes in pain control. Occasionally, Dr. Moss will have a patient who because of past medications requires special assistance with pain control. The Department of Anesthesia at Jordan Hospital has been especially helpful in this area and has worked closely with Dr. Moss to make these patients comfortable.

Both Dr. Moss, his wife Carla, and their families have had surgical procedures at Jordan Hospital. Carla has also been an inpatient and found the staff to be very accommodating. In fact, patients often remark on how pleasant and helpful the nursing staff is at Jordan Hospital.

On January 5, 2005 Jordan Hospital became the 3rd hospital in Massachusetts (out of approximately 6000 nationwide) to receive the prestigious Magnet designation bestowed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Magnet recognition recognizing nursing excellence and cannot be achieved without support and contribution from the entire hospital organization. This designation represents the “gold standard” in nursing practice.

Jordan Hospital is easily accessible off Route 3, at exit 5. The physical layout of Jordan Hospital is very comfortable for surgical patients. The operating room is located near the main entrance of the new pavilion. There is plenty of comfortable seating for friends and family as well as free valet parking. There is also plenty of parking close by for those who wish to park their own car. There is a Dunkin Donuts coffee shop as well as a cafeteria to meet the needs of all family and friends that may be waiting.
